Alex Nunnally has bridged the gap between fine art and craft with what he has entitled The Lost Wax Process. It combines rigid metals such as brass, bronze and steel with corresponding forms made of wax (parrafin), creating a unique dichotomy.
He has redefined the concept of the candleholder as being an integral part of the candle. In some pieces, the candle mirrors its holder; in other pieces, the relationship is less direct. In either case, their relative importance is not compromised.
